Eastern Dirt Modified Racing, also referred to as EDM, is an exhilarating motorsport that features open-wheel, purpose-built cars racing on dirt oval tracks, primarily in the Northeastern United States. These vehicles have tubular steel chassis, weigh around 2,400 pounds, and are powered by V8 engines producing between 600 and 800 horsepower.
Known for their distinctive wide tires and aerodynamic bodies, Modifieds are designed for high-speed, sideways action on tracks ranging from 1/3 to 1 mile in length, such as Volusia Speedway and Weedsport Speedway. Races typically consist of 30 to 100 laps and demand skillful driving, as well as precise car setups, due to the constantly changing dirt surface conditions. This motorsport thrives on its passionate fanbase, intense competition, and the challenge of mastering slick, muddy, or dry track conditions draw large crowds with events like the Syracuse 200. The 1RC Racing 1/18th Radio-Controlled Eastern Dirt Modified - EDM 3.0 Race Car puts you in the driver’s seat, complete with all the scale details of a full-size Eastern Dirt Modified. You can race like a champion with friends and family in small spaces such as your driveway, basement, or garage. Setting up a track is quick and easy, ensuring that the racing experience is a blast.
The 1RC Racing EDM 3.0 includes a 2.4GHz interference-free transmitter, receiver, standalone electronic speed controller, and steering servo. Powered by a 5-cell NiMH battery and an 8700Kv brushless motor, it offers exceptional speed and enjoyment.
Designed to mimic the look and feel of a real race car, the 1RC Racing EDM 3.0 features an open-wheel design for fun and dynamic racing. It includes a tubular-style chassis and front and rear straight axles. The solid rear axle assembly boasts high-impact composite radius rods, a Panhard bar, and adjustable coil-over friction shocks. The scale details continue with the body panels, engine headers, driver figure, front and rear wings, real metal nerf bars, front, and rear bumpers. Additionally, the Hoosier-branded EDM Car tires, equipped with a scale tread pattern, are mounted on chrome racing wheels, providing an authentic appearance and excellent traction. Like all 1RC Racing cars, the EDM 3.0 features full ball bearings to ensure smooth and reliable performance.
The 1RC Racing EDM 3.0 is available in three color options: red, black, and clear. It also comes with number and logo sticker sheets for customizing your car.
