Motor Installation

Posted by 1RC Racing on Jun 17th 2025

It is essential to pay close attention to your motor installation when reinstalling the motor or replacing the motor in your 1RC Racing race Car. Below is an image of the correct orientation of the motor to ensure the motor wires are in the proper location. By installing the motor in this orientation, you will not need to bend the wires to connect your motor to the ESC. Bending the motor wires in the black heat-shrinking area will cause a terminal failure.

The reason for this is to ensure that the motor wires are not broken from the copper windings in the stator. The black wires going into the can are soldered to the copper wires in the stator. Below is a photo of a motor to show the internals of a 1RC Brushless Motor. Each of the three motor wires is connected individually to one of the three stator wires. By carefully handing your motor, you can ensure a long life for your power house.
