New to 1RC Racing? Start Here!

Welcome to 1RC Racing—where authentic oval-track racing fits in your garage, basement, hobby shop, or local racing facility.

We create highly detailed 1/18- and 1/24-scale radio-controlled oval race cars designed to deliver an exciting racing experience without requiring a large track or a big budget. Whether you’re passionate about dirt oval or asphalt oval racing, there’s a 1RC Racing car for you.

Our cars are designed in the USA and shipped from our Arizona warehouse.

What Does 1/18 Scale Mean?
A 1/18-scale car is approximately one-eighteenth the size of the full-size race car it represents. For example, 18 of our cars, placed bumper-to-bumper, would be approximately the same length as a real race car. Our cars are designed to capture the look and character of their full-size counterparts. From the suspension and chassis layout to the body, wheels, and tires, every model is created with realistic oval-racing detail.

Everything You Need Is in the Box
Our cars come Ready-to-Run (RTR), which means you can start driving without purchasing a separate radio system or electronics.

Each car includes:

A fully assembled race car
- Installed electronics
- Transmitter
- Rechargeable vehicle battery
- Battery charger
- Four AA transmitter batteries
- Instruction manual
- Sticker sheets
- Basic tools

Simply charge the battery, install it in the car, insert the AA batteries into the transmitter, and hit the track. The included 230mAh battery takes approximately one hour to charge. Depending on track size and driving style, you can expect about 10–12 minutes of runtime per charge.

Recommended Accessories
You can enjoy your car right out of the box. However, a few accessories can make race days more convenient and give you additional setup options.

- Spare Batteries -We recommend having one or two spare batteries. This allows you to keep one battery charging while another is in the car, giving you more track time with less waiting.

- Spring Sets - Optional spring sets allow you to fine-tune your car’s handling for different track surfaces and driving styles.

- Tools -Every car includes L-shaped hex wrenches and a combination 3mm/4mm nut driver. These are enough to perform basic adjustments and maintenance.

If you become a regular 1RC Racing driver, we recommend adding these tools to your pit area:

- 1.5mm Hex Driver - Used for approximately 95% of the metric screws found on our cars.
- 1RC Racing Pit Tray - Keeps your car, tools, hardware, and small parts organized while you work.
- 4mm Nut Driver - Used to remove and install the wheels and tires.
- 3mm Nut Driver - Used for installing and removing ball studs.

Parts That Work Across Multiple Cars
Many 1RC Racing parts are shared across different models, making it easier and more affordable to maintain multiple cars. Our 5-cell battery packs work with most 1/18-scale cars. The 1/18 Midget is the exception because it uses a 4-cell battery. Many shocks, shock springs, gear cases, bearings, and other components also carry over from one model to another. Wheels and tires are generally model-specific so each car maintains the correct scale appearance and handling. However, some models share the same tire and wheel combinations. For example: Asphalt Late Model tires also fit the Asphalt Truck. Dirt Modified tires also fit the Dirt Street Stock. Always check the product description or parts listing to confirm compatibility before ordering.

Beginner-Friendly and Ready to Race
You don’t need previous RC experience to enjoy 1RC Racing. Many new customers purchase a car, charge the battery, and begin driving or racing that same day. Some racers are so eager to get started that they race their cars with the clear body before they even paint it!

Most models are available in several colors, and select models are also offered with clear polycarbonate bodies. Clear bodies allow you to create your own custom paint scheme using polycarbonate-compatible hobby paint.

Where Can You Race?
Our 1/18-scale and 1/24 cars perform best on smooth surfaces, including:

- Low-pile carpet
- Smooth concrete
- Smooth asphalt parking lots
- RCP foam track systems
One of the best things about 1RC Racing is that you don’t need a huge facility. A fun oval track can be set up in a garage, basement, hobby shop, community center, or other relatively small space. A track approximately 25 feet long by 15 feet wide is an excellent starting point. Tracks can be as simple as a flat oval with temporary barriers or as elaborate as a purpose-built, high-banked racing facility.

Below, you’ll find examples of home tracks and commercial facilities created by members of the 1RC Racing community.
