Painting the body

Nov 26th 2017

It's our first week of business and what fun ride it's been so far. We have seen a lot of comments about painting the body.  One unique thing about R/C is that you paint the polycarbonate ( aka Lexan) panels on the back side. This makes the top slide glossy and gives you the nice shiny finsih. If you paint over the stock red or black panel you will have a matte finish. Also another key point, whenever painting these bodies, it is an absolute must to use R/C polycarbonate paint. You can find these paints at your local hobby shop in a can form. Some of the popular paint brands are Tamiya and Pactra with a ton of colors available on the market. A-Main Hobbies offers a lot of these paints if you don't have access to a local shop. Here is the link to their site:A-Main Hobbies. Lastly, when looking at these different cans of paint, make sure you pick the ones labelled Lexan or Polycarbonate.
